அரியலூர் (ஆங்கிலம்:Ariyalur), இந்தியாவின் தமிழ்நாடு மாநிலத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள அரியலூர் மாவட்டத்தில் இருக்கும் ஒரு நகராட்சி ஆகும். இது அரியலூர் மாவட்டத்தின் தலைநகரம் ஆகும்.
இங்கு சுண்ணாம்புக்கல் மிகுதியாக கிடைப்பதால் இங்கு பிர்லா குழுமத்தின் கிராசிம் சிமெண்ட்ஸ் , இந்தியா சிமெண்ட்ஸ், டால்மியா சிமெண்ட்ஸ் & மெட்ராஸ் சிமெண்ட்ஸ் ஆலைகள் உள்ளன.

Meaning of Ariyalur
According to the epics this place (Ariyalur Municipality) was called "Hari Nindra Oor’’ Because of that, the ancestors said, since the Hari (God) stayed here and then proceeded, this place was so called. The nine avatars of God Hari carved out of single stone found in the Alanthurayar Kothandaramasamy Temple at Ariyalur is the Special feature of this place.
Features
The new district will have an area of 2,033.66 km² . Ariyalur District is centrally located in Tamil Nadu and is 265 K.M. away in southern direction from Chennai. It is an inland district without coastal line. The District has Vellar River in the North and Kollidam River in the South and it has no well marked natural divisions. The district is bordered by the districts of Cuddalore in the north, Perambalur and Tiruchirapalli in the west, Thanjavur and Tiruvarur in the south and Nagapattinam in the east.

Three Assembly segments - Ariyalur, Andimadam and Jayankondam. 2001 India census,[2] constitute 51% of the population is male and female 49%. Ariyalur has an average literacy rate of 73%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 55% of the males and 45% of females literate. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age. As per 2001 census, the population of Ariyalur is 695524, with male 346763 and female 348761.
